Chocolate and caramel French macarons (gluten free)

This class will focus on the basics of French macarons. We will make fancy macarons with two fillings to impress your friends and family: caramel and chocolate. This is an intermediate class but beginners are also welcome to join.

During this  class of approximately 2h30, you will learn how to make:

  • French macarons
  • Chocolate ganache
  • Salted caramel

I will make sure to give as many details as possible for each step to make sure everyone can follow and makes great macarons by the end of the class! The class will be held online via Zoom with a limited group of students to make sure I can efficiently guide you through all the steps of the pastry. You can ask question during the class.  Prior to the course, you will receive the full recipe of this dessert along with a list of ingredients and tools required. The class will be recorded, and a recording of the Zoom session will be available if you want to watch it again or in case you missed the class for some reason.

Tools required:

  • scale, the cheapest you can find, no need for a fancy one
  • parchment paper
  • baking tray
  • sieve
  • hand mixer (I recommend this one)
  • whisk
  • piping bag
  • piping tips (I highly recommend this set)
  • 2 saucepans
  • 2 mixing bowls
